High-tech ventilators improve indoor air quality (video)
Zehnder America Inc. provides high quality heating and ventilation solutions to promote comfortable, healthy, and energy-efficient indoor living in a variety of multifamily and commercial settings.
A division of the Zehnder Group, headquartered in Switzerland, the company recently highlighted some of its non-residential applications at AHR 2016 in Orlando.
The Zehnder air distribution system brings fresh air to all rooms of a building and simultaneously removes extracted, moist or contaminated air and odors. Air is exchanged without drafts or bothersome noises, at the highest possible efficiency, thanks to cross-ventilating. The air volume can be individually adjusted. Fresh air flows through round ducts with smooth internal walls.
Here are some of the key components in the air distribution system:
ComfoTube ventilation pipe
Flexible air distribution pipe, outside ribbed, inside smooth according to DIN EN 60529. The ComfoTube-75 can easily be laid in concrete, directly into the earth or in riser ducts and suspended ceilings. The Zehnder ComfoTube can be easily and quickly installed. Medical grade HDPE provides clean, efficient delivery of air.
Comfopipe ducting
Insulated expanded polypropylene (EPP) ducting allows for easy installation of intake and exhaust ducts. Available in 39-inch straight sections and 90-degree bends, each piece comes with a single connection sleeve.
Filters
Filters are available for each heat and energy recovery systems in the Zehnder line. , G4 Filters are an equivalent to a MERV 7-8 filter, while the F7 filters are an equivalent to a MERV 13 filter.
Comfowell silencer and casings
The multifunction unit incorporates a silencer, fine filter, activated carbon filters and a manifold. The components can be easily and securely coupled using sliding clips supplied.
Register box CLD
Air throughput box for supply or exhaust air, including mounting brackets. The box is identical for all design cover-grids and facilitates connection of the Zehnder ComfoTube with a patented clip system.
Diffuser box TVA
The diffuser box TVA is used in combination with either the supply diffuser or the return diffuser. Each diffuser box has two patented clip system receptacles for ComfoTube connections, and the round diffuser duct can be cut to mount flush with ceilings or walls.
Supply diffuser KE 125
The Supply Diffuser is mounted in the Diffuser Box TVA, and provides even distribution of air in a 360 degree pattern, and is adjustable for flows during commissioning.
Return diffuser STB-1
The return diffuser is mounted in the diffuser box TVA and provides adjustable return flows during commissioning.
