Mini splits tackle tough HVAC problems
Ductless mini splits are playing a larger role in the HVAC market through their efficiency and flexibility.
At the 2016 AHR Expo, Marc Zipfel, director, product marketing & planning at LG Electronics, reviewed some of the latest advancements in the company's mini split lines.
Zipfel talked about the LG Multi F MAX line that is becoming popular in residential and multifamily applications. Zipfel noted the LG Multi F MAX outdoor unit is now available in a larger capacity at 60,000 BTU/h. The new single phase, five-ton outdoor air-conditioning unit connects up to eight individual indoor units and allows occupants to control each individual room or space. Outdoor Multi F (now available in 1.5-, 2-, 2.5-, 3-, 4-, 4.5- and 5-ton capacities) represent the ideal solution for a wide range of applications, including residential homes and light commercial buildings.
